recell.store is part of the Altilium Clean Technology Group, the UK’s only EV Full Battery Circularity solution. That means we have developed an end-to-end system for sourcing, shredding, recycling and reprocessing End-of-Life EV batteries to create new ones.
This means we can make batteries using less carbon and reducing the need for the mining of new critical minerals.
Our ultimate aim with recell.store is the have a UK database of every EV in the country, so we can track and trace those batteries and ensure they end up being recycled rather than going to waste.
After the success of our pilot plant ACT 2, we are currently in the process of building our ACT3 recycling facility in Plymouth, Devon. This plant is forecast to recycle 8000 metric tons of Black Mass – the waste product in an EV battery – per year, turning that Black Mass into critical minerals like Nickel, Cobalt and Manganese, ready to make new batteries.
